The Newsletter Number 2 of the "Fagus" LIFE+11 Project (NAT/IT/000135) is online.

Within the newsletter you will find:

• the interview to Amilcare Troiano, who is the President of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park since 2009;
• the interview to Arturo Diaconale, appointed "Commissario Straordinario" of the Gran Sasso and Laga Mounts National Park in 2008, and current President;
• an update on the project activities (May-June 2013): "The sampling of forest biodiversity and structure in the project areas are going on";
• a short note on the presentation of the Fagus LIFE+ project at an international conference held in Ukraine: "Primeval Beech Forests: Reference Systems for the Management and Conservation of Biodiversity, Forest Resources and Ecosystem Services"
